Top Scenic Photography locations in the Gold Coast

The Gold Coast, renowned for its stunning beaches, lush hinterlands, and vibrant cityscapes, offers a plethora of scenic photography locations. Here are some top spots to capture the essence of this beautiful region:

1. The Spit (Southport Spit): Located north of Main Beach, The Spit provides panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and the Gold Coast skyline. The Sand Pumping Jetty is particularly popular for sunrise photography, offering expansive ocean vistas.

2. Natural Bridge, Springbrook National Park: This unique rock formation features a waterfall cascading through a natural arch, creating a picturesque scene. The surrounding rainforest adds to the enchanting atmosphere, making it ideal for nature photography.

3. Miami Lookout (North Burleigh Lookout): Offering sweeping views of the coastline, this lookout is perfect for sunrise and sunset shots. The vantage point provides a stunning perspective of the ocean and beaches below.

4. SkyPoint Observation Deck: Situated atop the Q1 building in Surfers Paradise, SkyPoint offers 360-degree views of the Gold Coast. It's an excellent location for capturing cityscapes, especially during twilight hours.

5. Currumbin Rock Pools: Nestled in the hinterland, these freshwater pools are surrounded by lush greenery and rock formations, providing a tranquil setting for photography.

6. Burleigh Head National Park: This park offers a mix of rainforest trails and coastal views. The Lookout provides excellent vantage points for whale watching and capturing expansive ocean views. Also if you walk the entire loop, be sure to check out Tallebudgera creek on the southern side of Burleigh Point. This is one of the most under-rated swimming spots of the Gold Coast!

7. Coolangatta Beach: Located at the southern end of the Gold Coast, Coolangatta offers beautiful beaches with views of the coastline extending into New South Wales. In Coolangatta, Snapper Rocks surfing waves will often break right through down to Kirra Beach and the Green mount hill lookout is considered one of the best vantage points for watching the surfers enjoy this world class wave.
