As a general rule, if your image file is under 1mb or 2mb it is probably too compressed and not enough detail for printing. However, sometimes this is not the case. To check, send us your image file, size & paper preference and we'll get back to you with an honest opinion to proceed or not with the print. Upload your image to us
Yes, we do offer discounts for large print quantities. Please email us your sizing/paper/quantities and we'll put together a custom discounted package for you.
At Gold Coast Prints, we recommend using high-resolution JPEG or TIFF file formats for the best quality prints. These file types have a high level of detail and color depth, resulting in clear and vibrant images. It's important to note that low-resolution images may not print well, so we suggest using images with at least 300 DPI (dots per inch) for optimal results. If you have any questions or concerns about file types, feel free to contact our customer service team here for assistance.
What are ICC Profiles? The same image file will print differently on each different printer/paper combination. (Brightness, Vibrancy, Tone and Color will all print variably on different papers).
ICC files are used to digitally proof, edit and optimize your photo to suit each paper in photoshop or a similar photo editing software. This ensures your final photo print looks similar to how you view it on a color calibrated monitor.
Do I need to use them? At Gold Coast Prints we match every order to the paper we print it on with ICC'S, ensuring customer satisfaction.
However,
If you're a Professional, perfectionist and will be printing on a regular basis, you'll need to use ICC profiles with the correct equipment (expensive color accurate monitors and a color calibration tool).

Canson Platine fibre rag (Satin) is our best seller. A great all-rounder for vibrancy, print longevity and finish. A crowd pleaser and world class paper.
Ilford Metallic (Gloss) is really good for making underwater and split shots pop. It has a Metallic iridium finish that really stands out. It is a gloss finish and this Metallic paper is best framed in a non-reflective glass to really highlight the qualities of this paper. However, it can also still be framed in different types of glass and still look vibrant and amazing.
Ilford's textured cotton rag (Matte) is perfect as a premium matte finish alternative to our Canson Platine fibre rag (satin finish). Our next best selling paper after Canson Platine Fibre rag.
Hahnemuhle - Daguerre (matte) - This is the canvas we use, it has great vibrancy and longevity. Great for those looking to start stretching and framing their own artworks.
